Nothing against you at all there buddy but I am very sceptical of anything coming out of a dealers or their service peoples mouths. I had many bad experiences that I don't want to get into.

yeah i dont either ... id rather do the work myself, but cant do an engine replacement ... i just thought it was interesting. I was doubtful when he told me, but i wasnt about to sit there and argue with the guy working on my car! who knows what else he might mess up and say it was alreayd broke!
