Smile Aftermarket warranty

Well, the aftermarket warranties I have read about are quite expensive and the one I know about is not allowed to take on new customers here in California. I realize a major incident such as an engine failure would be costly, but I am going to take my chances. I expect some repairs anyway on a used car, hopefully mine is one of the lucky ones. I have put about 7,000 miles on it now in about six months -- keeping my fingers crossed. Over at PPBB you read a lot about engine failures, which makes me kind of paranoid, but I just have to take it as it comes and deal with it as needed or not (hopefully). While I would hate to spend the bucks for an engine replacement, it would not be that big of a deal for me financially to do it if I have to.
