a month or so back i purchased a mid yr (I think) 98 with 22K miles. Now from reading all these pourous block known issues i'm kinda sweating a bit, but the car seems to be in perfect shape and has run flawlessly since i bought her, and she's my daily commuter, 25 miles each way, sometimes in stop and go traffic. I definitely did get the extended warranty, but only for 40K miles from date of purschase, I kinda wish i had gotten more miles though... I def. think the warranty is worth it.
