Hi,

The Boxster does not have an Oil Cooler in the traditional sense. Most cars have a separate radiator through which Oil, rather than Coolant, flows to cool it by using airflow through the Oil Cooler to extract the heat to atmosphere.

The Boxster uses an Oil/Coolant Heat Exchanger mounted on the engine. This Heat Exchanger does just that, extracts the heat from the Oil by the Coolant, which then passes it to atmosphere through the radiators on the front of the car. The Center radiator on the Boxster S is just that, and additional Coolant radiator, not an Oil Cooler. FYI...
