Not so boring to me but I would echo the 928 thoughts(Perfect lap).

I also think the fact that they have retained the overall feel of the car as long as they have is the reason for its continued popularity/success.

I grew up lusting after it in the 70s as I am sure many of you here did in whatever generation you may be from...
