I would also suggest Ebay. I bought my 328i and Boxster S by using them. As someone posted, I saw it but traveled to look and drive the cars without actually going through the auction.

I sold a SUV to buy the S and had alot of offers to cancel the bid and sell.

Two advantages of Ebay. One, you can keep it for sale on auto trader etc, just state it is for sell locally and reserve the right to cancel the auction. Second, you can set the reserve so there is no concern of it selling for less than you want.
