I never said "GO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE" - your words, not mine. I suggested a proper Driving Course as a most effective means of spending your money. If you have already taken quality courses, fine, move on.
So far as the link you post, that is mainly for Motorcycle engines, perhaps car engines (debatable, and not what Porsche advises), but only engines.
The Break-in period allows all the parts - Gears, Synchros, Rotors, Brake Pads, Tires, Wheel Bearings, Ancillary Bearings, Flywheel, Clutch Disc, and such, to develop wear patterns. Following the advice in that article will not accomplish this, but from the sound of it, you already knew that too.
I'm not being presumptuous when a guy comes on here and says he has trouble finding Aftermarket parts for the Boxster. I just input Boxster Aftermarket Parts into Yahoo Search and it came back with 90,700 hits. I didn't have any trouble, or were these not enough for you..?
As I said, take my advice or not. But, don't come here and jab people because they reply to what you posted with some generally accepted proper advice. Good Luck!...
Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
