Hi , I found a cable on the inside of the front right wheel housing in front of the plastic lining that's behind the headlight easily accessible by removing about 3 screws and 2 plastic rivet clips from the lining.

I reached in pulled on the cable and surprise the front hood opened. The same thing in the back left wheel housing behind the lining. Are these cables on all boxsters or was it just the previous owner who thought of this incredible idea.

They resembled bicycle cables with a loop at the end for pulling.
