Yeah, I was being funny. There is a common front ball joint made of crummy plastic on the 986 that ive done that before, lasted quite a while. If you just need the swaybar endlinks theyre not that expensive and not hard to change. The D-bracket bushings however may also be making noise. Its not impossible that it could also be that pesky front engine mount, but more often than not, that makes noise on accelleration only.
