Hmmm, my key was frozen in place and would not turn at all without fifteen minutes' jiggling and a lot of swearing. I naturally assumed it
had to be a mechanical problem. But a number of folks insisted that replacing the electrical switch would fix it. To my surprise, delight, and relief, it did.
