I just went through this with my wife's car, parts Avatar assured me twice that the parts they listed were correct for the car and they were not.
Trackmotive part number VW-86001 fits a 2000 base tip Boxster and is only ~249 CAD ea at the time of this posting found at wrenchmonkey.
Thank goodness on the third try this ****************e is correct.
