If your just replacing the mesh then it’s an easy repair with few to no tool requirements other than a simple pair of pliers to release the small tabs holding the seat cushion to the carrier. You probably know this but if you remove the seat cover as you propose you’ll need new hog rings. I used a pair of diagonal pliers to snip the hog rings attaching the seat cover to the foam. Reusing the hog rings really isn’t viable without risking damaging the rods that help attach and shape the seat cover.

I removed the seat cover by slowly separating it from back to front snipping the hog rings as I went. Installation is the reverse of removal. This allowed me to shape the seat cover back into position as I progressed. Once the cover was reattached, I was able to do the same procedure for reinserting the plastic tabs for holding the foam cushion to the carrier. In hindsight it might have been a good idea to film this.
