I have no bones to pick w/ Pcar. They got my car sold. They always felt like my advocate, but I don't know what goes on with the other side of the conversation when they're talking to a buyer. They may be coaching a potential buyer on what to offer for all I know. They don't get paid until everyone agrees to a deal. They didn't bark about my reserve, maybe b/c they know they can do deals after the auction ends. BAT supposedly tries to strong arm you into a low reserve up front since their auctions end at the bell. Everyone dreams of having a car up for auction that has multiple buyers fighting for it, but I'm 0-2 in that scenario (I tried selling my 79 Mustang Pace Car at Mecum KC 10 yrs ago).

I got the sense from the buyer he wanted to work with me to resolve the issue rather than get a refund. But he has to live w/ GF. And I can empathize w/ GF - they just paid a lot of money for a car that supposedly was fit to drive across country and it barely made 500 mi and had a major issue. That's why I never challenged her. I wouldn't be happy either if the roles were reversed. I just wanted to find a soln. It sucked that it never happened when I had the car so I couldn've had more control over the soln. Who knows, it sounded like my dealer wouldn't have been interested in working on replacing the sensor, so maybe it was lucky it happened near Denver.

I think we're in a time similar to when IMS replacements were hitting the scene and some Porsche dealers would install them while some still insisted on just replacing the engine after it broke. Maybe the mystique of PDK repairs is vanishing? I'll detail the repair in an upcoming post.
