You need to ask Porsche style...
"Will bulb's Off status be Activated if hood is closed but not 100% latched?"
Generally speaking, you are correct by engineering design.
That said, you can always disconnect plug at latch and thus proverbially short circuit if there should be issues w latch switch at that location.
