On the other topic. The top "tubes" are the shifter cables, they are supposed to be connected. The tube underneath in your red circle is for the air conditioning. If it is rubbing there you might add some rubber between them.
Did you get a CEL for the filler tube leak? I'll experiment adding a little bit of oil through the tube and see if it leaks. How did you address your issue?

Thank you for explaining the tubes! So great to have knowledgeable people on forums. The shifter cable was resting on top of the air con tube. Where you see the indention on the air con tube is where the shifter cable was touching. I just pryed it off and took the photo after.
