That sounds about right. When I first got my car I entertained the Sylvanias... deciding for a handful of bulbs I wasn't going to break the bank. Some cheapos from Auto Zone, and they've held up for years. I didn't, and wouldn't, spend more than $10-$20 on the bulbs, if that.
It's just bright light.
