I've never heard of that before. Doesn't mean it's not possible, but I'd be very skeptical. If you want to spend some $$$, I would sugges buyingt a tool to clear the Service Now msg rather than 'a board' (whatever that is). I bought an iCarsoft Por II that works on both of my 987.1s to clear that msg. If you buy the Por II and it really is the board that needs replacing, you'll have the tool to clear it the next time it appears. The msg is an annual msg based on time, that's all. When it's reset, it asks for today's date, setting the clock to send the msg in a yr.

Where are you located? Someone may have a tool to reset the msg.
