Thanks. I think I've found a workable solution, but having several options is even better.
I see you are from North Carolina, and I expect your weather is similar to what we experience in Central VA. There are many days that start with great top-down weather and end with a thunderstorm or high temperatures.
I'm planning to use the humps frequently, but I need to be sure I can react to weather changes. When I owned a Miata, I had a tonneau cover that I used fairly frequently when I parked at work. (It gave the car a 1960's British sports car ambience.) One day we had an unexpected thunderstorm and the tonneau proved to be less than 100% waterproof. It took a couple of days to totally dry out the interior.
Fortunately, the Miata didn't have an immobilizer or any other complex electronics under the seats. I'm certain I don't want a similar experience with the Boxster.
