I have an 06 987S with Sand Beige leather and everything looks great. Post some pictures so we can see the marks and location.
I am careful not to wear certain types of belts or like a jean jacket with large metal buttons. Be careful what your passangers wear too. Especially metal fashion belts that my wife likes to wear.
Lots of jean pants have metal rivets...another no-no!
