Hello Everyone, it's been over 5 years. I respect everyone here and would like to come back and ask your opinions.

Happy 25 years! for Boxster

It took me over 30K to fix it, why?

1st Mechanic Messed up when I gave him over 15K - 3 years ago.
Had to find another - who then fixed it.

Fast forward, I have it, now. I did not give up on it, the pressure I had from everyone, to sell it and get another one, is no longer pressure. I paid this money already - after taking the decision that it's sentimental, and could have cost me my life and my GF. But it saved us, and I vowed to fix it.

Could have gotten a better car with this money yes? By car I mean Porsche.. coz there is no substitute, coming from a BMW X3 to this, I just cannot let go.

Now, since I just finished painting it newly, from cosmetics i still have:

Fix the leather chairs - around 300 euro

Mechanically:
Add the ABS Sensor that I got
Add the Heater that I got
Wait for my 2 Oxygen sensors to arrive to put them

Electrics:
Understand after I have run a diagnostics- attached the diagnosis - fix the central alarm and the window mechanism, they don't close well and I must hold the doors push it to close, yes I changed the window mechanism inside, but still, I think it needs to be regulated.
Central Alarm, has issues, because, for a long time from when I had the accident, as I drive the lock goes on and off, I cannot lock it with remote and so on.

Now, the main issue is this:

last 6 months, I had a serious issue no one could fix, including Porsche officials - because they don't have time lol yeah.. believe it or not, so I found a new good mechanic who managed to fix the main issue even after I changed and bought all the parts, he said all this (from the previous mechanic) was bought, but they were not needed. But anyway, it's ok coz now I know they are not the issue and I know they are new.

The main issue I had was:

When you start the car, till 3000 RPM on startup, it shakes and wants to turn off, when I drive it over 3000 rpm the car was perfect.

So from taking the engine down and changing the timing belts, to diagnosis, he finally fixed it for 500 euro. The issue was he said with the Vario Cams, and after bleeding, pressure tests, and tweaking that issue is now long gone and it drives awesomely no issue.

Now, after 3 weeks of driving it, 500KM approx, I saw its losing oil, from the car's oil level on the dash, it was losing after few days 1 bar, and it today it was sitting on the bars as u can see from the screenshots, so he said, as long as it's in the middle not below or above the max/min u are ok.

I was suspecting it's losing oil until I saw today this - so I called him and he said well he wants to take a look at it.

Taking into consideration the things I changed, and now this - what do u think it is? Do u think it's the gaskets?

And need this?

Again the oil cooler? I changed it 6 months ago when I had the milkshake problem and too much bleeding had solved it and didn't drive the car for 6 months as it was sitting in the previous mechanic while I ordered all the stuff u saw, including a new oil cooler. Until I brought it to the new mechanic who finally fixed the previous issue.

So what do you think it could be?

Thanks, and will keep you posted - I really wish after 5 years of such issues - never giving up, the difficult part is done - that I am close to driving it and enjoying it as it has to be

Has 140K KM so far, its 2.7 02 Boxster 986

Looking forward to your experience and advice to know what to expect.

I will take it today at lunchtime and wait for his feedback.

This is my boxter a week ago after I got it back waiting 7 months - the life I had without it, going to work with colleagues and so on is hard But now - I am almost enjoying the fruits of patience a lot of money spent, and have the oil issue.

Any help from the diagnosis and the oil issue is appreciated!
