I used 1 1/2" square tubing.
The piece that bolts in place of the caliper is 7 1/2" long with the holes 5 1/8" on centers.
The cross piece is 10 1/2", the longer leg 5 1/4", the shorter one 4 1/2" and the distance between the legs 7".
I had to strengthen the area where the puller bolt contacts the cross piece... the tubing was deforming under the pressure.
I broke my (cheap) 2 arm puller so bought the 3 arm puller which worked fine. I think a better 2 arm puller would work.
