Were the lifters noisy before the disassembly? If the engine was noiseless they should be OK. If you want to be sure you can by a new set as suggested but I wouldn`t say they are cheap, at least for me. When I rebuilt my engine I didn`t know what it sounded like before because it was not running when I bought the car, so I just took apart each lifter, cleaned the valves and reassembled them and now they are running fine.
