That is not an acceptable swap. You're significantly altering the stance and balance of the car by going 225/50 up front. For a "performance shop" that's a pretty bonehead move. If you're just gentle street driving it may be fine, but I think you're gonna lose any understeer correction you would otherwise gain by going to the 225 and it could really be unsafe at high speeds where the underside of the car is now forming a wedge that will force the rear up.
