I've never had much luck doing the dap and wipe process. What I end up doing is filling the chip with paint, which creates a bit of a blob. Then I take some 1500 sand paper to smooth it out. Go LIGHTLY and only sand the smallest area possible. Then followed by rubbing compound, swirl removing compound, and polisher compound to bring back the shine.

JayG - thanks for the heads-up and wish I'd seen this last wk as I just bought a bottle. Found a "coupon" for 5% which helped but 15 would have been better. Keep updating as you go and I'll remember to look next time I need a bottle.
