If you're talking about the sensor at the front of the engine that's accessed by removing the panel behind the seat, I put my replacement in at snug and it's been fine - no leaks. That was 9 yrs ago.

Have the replacement ready as you'll get a gusher when you remove the old one. Work quickly and you won't lose too much antifreeze.
