To remove the headlight - it just comes out, but this one, equipped with Litronics, has an additional plug that is used to adjust the headlights.

Many HID systems had autoleveling - if the car is empty, the lights will light up the road fine, if the car gets heavy, front may lift up and then they light up too high. Hence, autoleveling will adjust them down.

Can be done manually or, if you never drive with extra load (actually, quite hard to do in Boxster) - never touch it again.
