Over the last two days I did what Rex describes above, more or less...and basically just drove around in a mellow manner for 180 miles, with some of his idling before and after in the driveway. Passed smog today.
Bought the car on Craigslist three days ago and popped a CEL on the way home. Not a pleasant moment, that one. But bought a new gas cap and OBD2 reader to clear the code at autozone, and really enjoyed the hell out of putzing around for five hours in my first real sports car.
