Pulled the wheel off at home tonight and the mystery is solved. It wasn't rear brakes at all

Apparently my left rear CV joint started leaking and decided to fling grease all over everything, covering my hot cats and burning to a crisp on there, as well as dirtying up my brand new shiny suspension parts lol
