I found a black gauge cover on EBay for cheap and swapped it with the original grey one. It makes a very noticeable improvement on the drivers side! There is a lot less reflection now. That looks way better. Just the way it offsets the giant grey blob in the middle of a grey area. Fits with the black speaker grills.
I haven't driven my grey interior car yet, but I'll take your word that the glare is obnoxious at times. At anyrate it looks good.
