Thinking I might have had another senior moment, I put my regular keys on my computer stand; started my car in the garage with the emergency key and drove about 3 blocks from my house; parked and turned off engine with the emergency key which I then removed from its receptacle; restarted the engine with the emergency key and drove back to the house.
