I would like to see pelican source a double row solution, rather then single row with spacer, but doubt that will happen. Their solution is fairly priced but becomes a maintenance item. As easy as pulling the tranny is, not a terrible compromise.

Well, last time I looked around to find a replacement for mine in the same exact size, I could not find it from any brand. It`s a special size manufactured for Porsche by NSK. It also has a groove for the spring clip that is not common on bearings, or at least not where it is on the outer ring. A bearing like this could only be used in the Porsche IMS, nowhere else. Maybe it was available in the past, but not anymore, or at least I couldn`t find it. I assume the one you remember of was the original NSK? As far as I know Porsche sells the entire IMS and not the bearing separately.
