Interesting story...

I sold the 09 Cayman S last mo for a friend. Sold it 8 days after it hit the mkt. A wk or so later, his dad approached me about selling his 2010 Lexus RX 350 and his Cayman GTS. His plan was to sell these 2 and replace with a Macan GTS. 2 wks ago I prepped the Lexus for the classifieds on the 11th. It was a very nice SUV - 1 owner & 41K mi. Sold it in 3 days but the buyer was coming from NE Iowa and couldn't pick it up until last Mon. She was very happy with it and we got almost full retail.

He dropped off the GTS Wed afternoon. I changed the air filters and detailed it. That night I ran across an ad on RL for someone looking for a GTS with PDK, PVT, and X73. This one has those, so I posted to the ad and sent a PM. The next morning I had a response from the thread guy and another guy. Answered both of their questions and mentioned to the 2nd guy that the 1st guy had contacted me. About 10:30am the phone rings and it's the 2nd guy. He's in LA and after talking a bit, says he'll take the GTS at full price, assuming it passes a PPI and has a good carfax. I give him the name of the place I use for my PPIs and contact 'my guy' who does carfaxes for me. Send LA guy the carfax. He said the CF looked good. Didn't hear back from him that afternoon, so I texted him to see if he'd made an appt. Crickets. Was going to call him Fri morning but he texted me and said he found one at Carmax for $53.5. Must have a bunch more miles than ours. So I took a bunch of pics and created ads for RL, Pelican, and here. Put CL ads out on Sat morning for OMA, KC, Denver, & CHI.

Got an email from a local PCAer (in fact, he was my instructor when I was a novice). He asked a couple of questions, which I answered. About 8pm he texted me with a very nice offer that I forwarded to the owner. We sweetened the pot with a set of track wheels w/ RE-71s and some addl parts for an extra $500. He gladly accepted.

But a deal isn't complete until the ca$h is in your fist. The owner's getting the title tom and the buyer is ready to go at a moment's notice. Finger's crossed everything goes well at the DMV and we get the money transferred.
