Just keep a watch on the finish as you first use them (and wash & take off any tags from them before first use). If you have a section of the car that is scratch and swirl-free, check it again right after you use the towel. If you don't see any new scratches/swirls, then you're golden. My (white) Fieldcrest towels were puchased at [horror!]Wal-Mart[/horror] and they have been fine. Sal loves to drive the point home about the towels! I've also used Microfiber to polish out the Zaino with good results.
