I use an iCarsoft POR II with good results. Besides clearing the ordinary codes, it can also clear the 'service now' and airbag lights. I got mine on ebay for $130, I think. My local Porsche dealership started charging $35 to turn out the service light after doing it for free for many yrs. At $35 a pop on both of my cars, it doesn't take long for the iCar to pay for itself.
