So far so good on mine.

Hadn't heard about the potential to develop the need for a gasket replacement set. I got my spin-on adapter in 2009! No leaks to date, but I guess I better keep an eye on it at this point. (This car has been amazing: since getting it in 2006 I've never seen so much as a drop of oil on the floor where it's parked.)

Actually did have one problem, but it wasn't the fault of the SPOFA. Had some work done at a place I've used before and, being in need of an oil change and feeling lazy/too busy, asked them to change the oil/filter for me. Well, whoever did it cranked the ever lovin' hell out of the filter when they put the new one on. Next time I went to do the same task, the adapter came off with the filter, something that had never happened to me before. (I had done all the oil changes since the SPOFA.) I then spent like an hour trying to get them apart—even enlisted the help of a guy working at Advanced Auto. The old filter was thoroughly mangled by the time we got them separated.
