I was told whenI bought my 04, that the earlier Boxsters can be retrofitted to the new top.
The new top has a 4th bow just above the glass rear window.
Outside of the frame, headliner and the top I dont believe there is any other differences. I think the wiring for the rear glass is already there due to the hard top option.
