Yeah, it's a tad high but not too much. I would est $17, assuming it's up to snuff. The car is low mileage even in the Porsche world and VERY low mileage in the regular car world. When pricing with your favorite price guide (KBB, NADA, etc), the mileage considered to come up with a value is real world mileage and the 39K will artificially drive the value way up on this one.

Don't get enamored with the low mileage and overlook other things. You say it's light on options. Is it missing a 'must have' option you're looking for? Since it's at a dealer, probably no maintenance history. Have they provided a CarFax? That might give you a hint at maintenance. If you're not mechanically inclined, you'll defn want to have a PPI done so you can assess its cond.

Another thing that hurts the value of an 08 is the fact it still has an IMS (albeit one that fails at a 1% rate). But an 09 will have the new engine that doesn't have an IMS. Some will say buy an 09 except Porsche didn't sell many 09 Boxsters due to the mkt crash, so 09 prices have stayed quite high because of low production and high desirability. If that was an 09 w/ 39K mi, it would be worth $25-27K. Some high mileage 09 Boxs are hitting the mkt, but you're talking 70K+ mi. Nothing wrong with buying an 08 (I own 2 of them), but use the fact that an 08 is less desirable to your favor when buying one.

If the Jag dealer won't budge on price, keep looking. Maybe expand your range. You're in a target rich environment in FL. For $18-20K, you can find a nice 06-07 S with more options and a few more miles (50-60K).
