After the engine degreaser, I would use Simply Green to remove any oily residue and "low pressure" water as suggested by Husker

Regarding the oil leak, on my 987CS the power steering reservoir has two pieces (top and bottom) the leak could be from there, or from the cross plenum main intake tube (resonator..?)

Once you clean everything, you should be able to see it

PS: How does the AC hoses look like?
