Looking for Recent 3.4 Swap Info

How much would you expect an independent shop to charge to source a used 3.4 996 Carrera engine, remove a 2.5/2.7, install the 3.4, tune, etc? I'm having difficulty getting a straight answer from anywhere, not even a estimate. $10k? $15k? $20k?

I'm currently shopping for a 986 Boxster, test driven a couple 3.2's, a 2.5, and a 2.7. The 3.2 had basic bolt-ons and a tune of some sort, and while it felt nice, I just wanted a little more out of it.

So now I'm looking at the 2.5's and 2.7's a little closer, since I could just have a 3.4 swap done and have the power I want and a good base for a mild build. Actually probably end up with a little better car overall since it seems like there are 10 base model Boxsters for sale for every S locally.

I haven't been able to get any of our local indy Porsche/Euro shops here in Seattle to get back to me with a roundabout price. I know it's difficult to give pricing info since every time it will be a little different, but I'm just looking for a roundabout figure so I can know if it's something financially feasible. Or if I just need to buy a 3.2 S and be content with the power.

I've read this site: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/11-ENGINE-911_Engine_Swap/11-ENGINE-911_Engine_Swap.htm

Also seen some 10-12 year old discussions about pricing, but that's obviously going to be much different now.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
