photos of OPs car look good. my 99 came with 19x8.5/10.5 wheels; it wasn't my style so I'm down to 18s.

are you saying you do or don't like the deep dish? mine were really deep lips like the car in your photo, and it just wasn't my style

Boxmann - the handling was likely influenced negatively b/c of heavier weight for 19" wheel/tire combo. some of the cheap 19" wheels are likely 8-10pounds heavier than factory 17" wheels.

it might help to define "handling" as a word also - are we talking turn-in? steering response? chassis dynamics on rough terrain? etc etc
