That said, better safer having one than sorry. I do and the Mrs. always mentions the few times she rides in my car "What is this thing again and why is it here? Why isn't there one on your side? It's not really comfortable as it gets in the way of my legs." At least it distracts her from my exhaust bypass for a couple minutes

Thanks! Yes, for my region’s HPDE events a fire extinguisher is mandatory after your first event (you get one ‘by’). You might slide by once or twice more, but that’s it. I’ll correct my original post. Then there’s the whole thing with some track rules being stricter than the PCA rules. Better to show up equipped than to fail track tech.
We’ll see how it goes for my wife. Because the Rennline quick detach mount leaves only the flat piece at the bottom when detached, I can always leave the extinguisher in the garage when we’re out together
