The reading I did pointed to it being exclusive on the Tip... which is what I have. I'll buy the flow noise, etc. explanation as that seems to be the purpose of the intake tube muffler as well.

Yeah... I'll trust what Porsche did and leave it alone. I believe the intake muffler and that tube were added to comply with European noise mandates. Period.

I find it odd that it is resident only upon the tips...
