Yes that is true.....pretty sure I have seen OBD II shift lights.

I think that this would be the cleanest solution provided provided the proper wire tap hardware is used.....and the OBD wire isn’t screwed up.

Thanks.....Bentley EWDs were not helpful. Then again I am not an Electrical wizard either
