I think we need to be realistic about the market for our cars. There are a lot of Boxsters available and abundant supply inevitably drives down prices.
That said, I wouldn’t sell my car at current market prices. The issue for me is that I couldn’t find a desirable replacement that was available at for a price close to what I received for my Boxster. In that context I have to agree with Blackcloud.
