05s are such a crapshoot. It might have the Gen II or Gen III IMS. The Gen II has an 8-10% chance of failure but it can be replaced. The Gen III has a 1% chance of failure but cannot be replaced. No way to know which IMS you have unless the build date is on the extreme ends of the 05 production run. Otherwise you must pull the transaxle and look.

If IMS is not a big deal to you and you can live with either of those odds, then by all means pursue the car if you like it. If not, look for an 06 or newer to get the Gen III IMS or an 03-04 that has the replaceable IMS. If the IMS hasn't been replaced, you can bargain the final price based on it costing $3K to change it.
