Sooooo.......

......I followed that auction and commented.

I will just go ahead and put this out there for the collective......

In April of 2015, I paid $28,000 for my 2004 “50 Years of 550 Spyder Edition” Boxster S.

She had 25,000 miles on her.

Cocoa.

Bose.

No CD changer.

Black seat backs.

I then flat bedded her to Flat 6 Innovations and had Jake install his “IMS Solution”, RMS, water pump, new clutch and flywheel, all three cam chain tensioners, new serpentine belt and idler pulleys, Air/Oil Separator, and then flat bedded her back.

Soooooo....I’m all in on this car. I could have bought a 997 911 for the same amount of money.

I’m glad I didn’t.

I absolutely LOVE this car. I over paid for this car. And. I. Don’t. Care.

Any car is worth whatever another person is willing to pay you for it.

I have put 30,000 miles on her. I have a lifetime of awesome vacation drive memories now and expect many more to come.

I’m glad I found my car when I did back in 2015. Another one of these sold for close to 30k a few months ago and she only had 8k miles on her.

I will never sell my car, so I don’t even think about the money. This is my dream car. This is my retirement car.

I’m 50 years old.

I will drive this car until I’m in the nursing home.

Honestly, now that every new car is a rolling super computer with automatic transmissions and no spare tires or dip sticks and electric power steering and touch screen stereos, there aren’t many new cars I really want to own anyway.

Just buy the car you want and pay whatever you can afford and be happy and stop worrying about it all.

100 years from now, none of this will matter.
