They would be mounted, with no intention of quickly uninstalling them. A molex connector would ensure quick disconnect when reoving the humps from the car. The speakers permanently would be mounted.

I've the rollbar mesh installed and, with an inside flush mount coupled with a slim grill there would be sufficient clearance.

3.5" speakers would fit nicely, with plenty of interior clearance for the magnet.

My research reveals zero on this topic. So...

If you (anyone) weren't concerned about cutting into the humps... cutting the holes to seat the speakers and, depending upon the method of affixing/securing to the humps the speaker frame/hardware... who would do this?

I've speakers floating on the rear shelf but, with the top down, they're covered by the top. I've molex connectors running to the front of each seat... from the rear deck... to plug into the speakers when I put them on the floor in front of the seats. However, that can get clunky.

Opinions and criticisms welcome. I've been considering this mod... but cede to wisdom.
