Several things come to mind.
They put oil in the coolant tank.
The oil cooler is a known failure point.
The AOS has no connection to the coolant system.
My bet is the oil cooler. Could it have been just coolant added to oil because of a coincidental failure?
How do you know they put too much oil in?
What do the plugs look like? All 6 the same?
