the video is ok, but my experience is to start with inserting a vacuum gauge in the system and see if you have 14-18hg of vacuum. The vacuum canister is glued together and can leak. Canister is only $25 or so.

Replace the rubber vacuum lines with high temp silicon hose. heat and age dries the rubber hoses.

I found the vacuum source connection would not stay in the manifold. I replaced connector with a barbed brass one.
