As for question #2, you can identify and inspect the bearing by removing the IMS flange (don’t forget to lock the timing and remove the chain tensioners) but, like JFP says, once the bearing is pulled it cannot be pressed back in. It should be pointed out though that once you have removed the IMS flange it would only take an additional 30 min to install a fresh bearing.
